‘PREDATOR’ SETS SIGHTS ON BENICIO DEL TORO

‘Sicario’ actor circles the sci-fi reboot.

Shane Black’s reboot of the classic sci-fi action/thriller may have found its first star. Deadline reports that actor Benicio Del Toro is currently in negotiations to join the film. Talks are currently in the early phase as scribe Fred Dekker is still hammering out the script, but Del Toro is becoming no stranger to genre films. Already having Guardians of the Galaxy under his belt, the actor also has an unspecified role in Star Wars Episode VIII. A turn in Predator would continue the actor’s lean into the world of sci-fi. Currently, the film has no release date so talks are in the early phase, but Del Toro would be a major piece should he commit to the project.
