BATMAN DAY HIGHLIGHTS: WHAT WENT THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA ON #BATMANDAY?
A sneak peek of Commissioner Jim Gordon, a newly released Batman Lego poster and a montage of big screen Batmans in commemoration of Batman Day.
September 17 has been heralded as Batman Day in honor of celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Gotham’s crime-fighting Dark Knight last 2014. Although Batman Day has ended, let us review September 17 and take a look at what important movie personas have made (specifically, posted to social media) in appreciation of the dark Caped Crusader.
Let us start with Justice League helmer Zack Snyder who took to Twitter to post the first image of J.K. Simmons (Whiplash, Spider-Man) as Gotham City’s Police Department’s Commissioner Jim “The Whisperer” Gordon.

The image shows Simmons as Gordon holding a file of documents beside a lighted bat signal on what seems to be a gloomy night that had just rained.
In another world (the Lego World), Warner Bros. celebrated September 17th by releasing a new The Lego Batman Movie poster. The poster for the movie, which hits theaters February 2017, features Lego Batman jumping into action with the phrase “Always be yourself. Unless you can be Batman.”
Ending the day was a montage of some (where’s Adam West’s?) of The Bat’s movie adaptations.
